Concessionaire is now called Âmbar Energia Roraima and is part of the largest Brazilian business group

Âmbar Energia, a business unit of J&F S.A., takes over the management of the electricity distributor responsible for the supply throughout the state of Roraima. The transfer of control of the concessionaire was approved by the National Electric Energy Agency (Aneel) and the Administrative Council for Economic Defense (Cade).

Roraima Energia, which is now Âmbar Energia Roraima, is responsible for supplying the entire state, serving more than 221 thousand consumer units in the 15 municipalities in Roraima. This is the second electricity concessionaire integrated into the portfolio of Âmbar, which since April, has controlled the energy supply in the state of Amazonas, serving more than 1 million customers.

“Taking over Roraima Energia represents another important step in Âmbar’s strategy to consolidate its operations in the North of Brazil. We arrived with a new management model and operational discipline to ensure a safer and more reliable supply, contributing directly to the development of Roraima and the North region”, says Vicente Zuffo, president of Âmbar Energia Roraima.
