The completion of the transaction is subject to the approval of the relevant regulatory bodies. <\/p>\n<p>Roraima Energia is responsible for the distribution of energy throughout the state, serving more than 200 thousand consumer units in the 15 municipalities. The operation will mark \u00c2mbar&#8217;s entry into the energy distribution segment. Currently, the company has 43 power generation plants, in addition to operating in the trading and gas pipeline sectors.  <\/p>\n<p>The four plants included in the agreement are: Monte Cristo, with 83 megawatts (MW) of installed capacity; Monte Cristo\/Sucuba (42.25 MW), Floresta (35 MW) and Districts (20 MW). All are quick-start plants powered by fuel oil, which makes them essential to ensure the security of energy supply in the Brazilian electricity system. <\/p>\n<p>Boa Vista recently became the last capital to connect to the National Interconnected System (SIN) and is served by a transmission line coming from Manaus. &#8220;The distribution and generation activities in Roraima strategically join our 11 plants in the state of Amazonas, creating important synergies for our operations, in addition to positioning us in a state with strong potential for growth and development,&#8221; says Marcelo Zanatta, president of \u00c2mbar Energia. <\/p>\n<p>Completion of the transaction is subject to customary regulatory approvals.
